We’re looking for a Clinical Pharmacist who wants their work to mean something — someone who brings clinical expertise, leadership, and purpose to specialty pharmacy operations and patient care.
Why This Role Matters
The Clinical Pharmacist is central to ensuring safe, effective medication use across specialty and infusion therapies. This role provides clinical oversight, patient counseling, and team leadership that directly impacts patient safety, adherence, and outcomes.
In this role, you’ll contribute to work that:
- Helps patients safely access and manage complex specialty therapies
- Ensures high clinical standards across prescription review and dispensing
- Supports multidisciplinary teams through collaboration and clinical insight
- Strengthens a patient‑first, clinician‑led organization focused on outcomes
Your expertise helps ensure every prescription is not just filled — but thoughtfully reviewed and managed.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Review, interpret, and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
- Evaluate patient medical records to assess suitability of medication therapy
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on specialty medications, usage, and safety
- Monitor drug therapies, identify potential incompatibilities, and recommend interventions as needed
- Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation requirements
- Supervise, train, and validate pharmacy technician activities and documentation
- Collaborate closely with Intake, Referral Services, Nursing, Quality Management, Reimbursement, and Pharmacy teams to support seamless care delivery
- Support referral onboarding and ensure continuity throughout prescription fulfillment
- Enforce safety protocols across dispensing, compounding, and automation processes
- Partner with shipping and operations teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery of medications
- Serve as a point of escalation for clinical, prescription, or patient‑care concerns
- Participate in team communications, training, and performance‑improvement initiatives
- Maintain pharmacy records, controlled‑substance logs, and patient profiles
- Participate in required on‑call rotation and manufacturer program compliance
- Complete continuing education and maintain all professional licenses and certifications
What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you bring:
- Strong clinical judgment and expertise in specialty or infusion therapies
- Confidence leading pharmacy teams and guiding technicians
- Clear, analytical communication across clinical and operational teams
- A patient‑centered mindset grounded in safety and evidence‑based care
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE‑accredited School of Pharmacy
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment
- Strong understanding of specialty therapies and patient qualification processes
- Experience providing high‑quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy‑related technology systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of experience in specialty, infusion, retail, hospital, or mail‑order pharmacy
- Experience working closely with pharmacy technicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Knowledge of payer contracts and specialty medication reimbursement requirements
- Certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
- Experience with CareTend or similar pharmacy platforms
You don’t need to check every box — we care just as much about how you practice and lead as your experience.
