Lyra Technology Group is looking for a US-based Solutions Architect to work with the team at one of our operating companies, Lancom.

PURPOSE: As a Solutions Architect, you will be on the front line of driving customer engagement using AWS technologies, linking technology with measurable business value for organizations ranging from start-ups to enterprise customers.

This role will include technical consulting and is expected to have a billable component of 25%.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead presales technical/functional support activities to prospective clients and customers in USA while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Deliver solutions’ presentations, demos and handle scenario sessions with prospects, customers and internal teams. Develop proposals and pricing models for solutions.
  • Communicate and collaborate continuously with customers to design best-of-breed architectures using public cloud solutions in comparison to private, and hybrid cloud options.
  • Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives and conduct solution recommendations related to software, platform and network configurations. Prepare cost estimates for licensing, product sales, and professional services (deployment, migration, implementation, workshops, etc.).
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the delivery teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales to delivery.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Highly technical and analytical, with 8+ years of current solution architecture (implementation/consulting) experience in technical solution builder roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience working with at least four of the following areas: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Security
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Relevant and current AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty.
  • Working knowledge of other major public clouds, specifically: Azure, GCP
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Experience working with large customers, supporting them through their digital transformation

Personal Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and executive presence - comfortable presenting in clear language with CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, and CISOs about complex technical issues. Problem-solver with strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, business acumen, and the ability to find creative ways to optimize performance.
  • Comfortable in a fluid environment, able to adapt to evolving circumstances as needed
  • Curious, creative, and innovative, open-minded and inclusive – with an appetite to do and learn more.
  • Self-starter, who can work independently and proactively to resolve issues, take ownership of the tools, processes, reporting, and relationships with internal partners and third-party vendors.
  • A team player – proactively sharing knowledge and processes across the broader Lancom team whilst maintaining accountability for own performance.

COMPENSATION:

This is a full-time, U.S.-based role with a compensation range of $140,000 to $180,000 USD annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
