Project Team Manager– Altourage, a Lyra Technology Group company
We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Team Manager to join our team. As a Project Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the project management team to ensure successful implementation of client projects across our service portfolio. This role oversees multiple concurrent client engagements, manages team workload and performance, standardizes project processes, and serves as an escalation point for internal stakeholders and clients. The Project Managers on the team are highly technical, and the ideal candidate must also possess strong technical competency to effectively lead, guide, and evaluate project execution. You will collaborate closely with technical leads, account managers, engineers, and senior leadership to ensure project execution aligns with business goals, client expectations, and EOS-driven operational standards.

Your work as a Project Team Manager has several components:
Team Leadership & Management
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical project managers.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks across multiple active projects to optimize utilization and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and professional development planning for team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide leadership within an EOS operational environment, including L10 meetings, Rocks, Scorecards, and IDS problem solving.
Project Delivery & Execution
• Plan and oversee end-to-end delivery of projects (e.g., onboarding/offboarding clients, network upgrades, file server migrations, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace migrations, cloud deployments, cybersecurity rollouts, infrastructure refreshes).
• Ensure all projects follow standardized project management methodologies and MSP best practices.
• Review and approve project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and lead mitigation strategies.
• Maintain high-quality standards across project documentation, change management, and handoff procedures.
• Provide change management leadership across people, processes, and technology during project transitions.
Client & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as an escalation point for project-related client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Manage difficult client situations with diplomacy, clarity, and confidence.
• Collaborate with account management and sales teams to ensure project alignment with client business goals.
• Lead or participate in client meetings, project reviews, and executive-level presentations.
• Communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly to leadership and external stakeholders.
Process Tools & Reporting
• Develop, refine, and enforce SOPs for project delivery within an MSP environment.
• Ensure effective use of our tool stack, including:
o ConnectWise
o IT Glue
o NinjaRMM
o SharePoint
• Track and report KPIs including profitability, schedule adherence, utilization, and client satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve predictability and efficiency.
Collaboration with Other Teams
• Coordinate with the Support, Tech/Sec and S/NOC teams to ensure smooth project-to-support handoffs.
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to validate solutions, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Provide feedback to sales and solution design teams based on lessons learned across delivered projects.
Our ideal Project Team Manager has the following qualifications:
Required
• Previous MSP experience
• 5+ years of project management experience in IT, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Must be semi-local to New York City, with the ability to visit client sites as needed.
• Strong technical understanding of common MSP services and technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent client projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong conflict-resolution skills and experience handling challenging client scenarios.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with ConnectWise Manage PSA.
• Experience managing hybrid or distributed teams.
• Experience working in or leading teams within an EOS environment.
• Familiarity with IT Glue, SharePoint, NinjaRMM and other MSP tools.
The target salary for this role is $120,000-$130,000 per year and will operate mainly on a hybrid basis with ability to commute occasionally to client sites upon request.
