IT Project Manager – Lyra Technology Group
Lyra Technology Group is seeking a Project Manager for our Operating Company, Hurricane Labs. The Project Manager is responsible for working closely with both Customers and our Security Operations and Splunk Engineering teams to help drive the successful planning, organizing and implementation of Hurricane Labs security managed services. This role utilizes agile project management methods to develop detailed sprint plans, schedule resources, lead meetings, and ensure timely execution. To excel in this role, you will need strong organizational and communication skills, be able to work under deadlines, and effectively manage multiple client relationships. Your work as a Project Manager will include the following duties:
- Sprint Development - Project Managers (PMs) are responsible for management of sprints/projects in Jira. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, modify, maintain and monitor tickets across clients. Ensure project deadlines are met by holding leadership and project resources accountable to their commitments.
- Stakeholder Management - Organize, facilitate, attend and participate in meetings with internal resource teams and customers. Take notes and distribute to project teams.
- Project Status Tracking: Create and track project delivery through dashboards and basic analytics. Leverage templates & dashboards to prepare analytics & deliverables for meetings and distribution.
- Services Improvement: Provide project updates to team leaders covering progress, risks, and issues. Work with Team Leads and CIO to support advancement of services into wider go-to-market strategies.
- Thought Leadership: Actively contribute to evolving the project management methodologies and processes to meet the changing needs of our customers and businesses. Able to do post-mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum happiness and efficiency.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.
Our ideal Project Manager has the following qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with Project Management or in a customer facing role
- Ability to manage projects in a technology-based service organization involving customers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a strong attention to detail
- Passion for customer service, business quality, and cybersecurity
- Strong leadership skills; Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication; experience presenting to teams located across different locations and people ranging from individual team members to C-level executives.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities, and contribute to Project Management process improvements
- Must have or obtain CompTIA Project+ certification within first year of employment
- Aptitude for technical knowledge, including competency with dashboarding, Splunk, Jira and Google Suite - Gmail, Drive, Google Docs
- Associates degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience managing client facing cybersecurity or IT related projects
- Strong technical background in cybersecurity concepts, tools, and best practices
- Experience Using Slack, Zoom or similar communication tools
- Interest in obtaining Project Management Certification
The targeted base compensation for this role is $65,000 per year, along with an annual bonus. This is a fully remote position and will report to the PMO Lead and/or CIO.
Please note, this is a non-traditional IT Project Manager role and it will be client facing with the expectation that the individual will need to pivot their day-to-day as needed by the customers and internal team.
