Assembled Intelligence (assembledintelligence.co), an integrated communications and commercialization platform designed to unite all of its capabilities to deliver smarter, faster, purpose-built solutions across the healthcare product lifecycle. We’re seeking a People Manager to join the People+ team. 

A People+ Manager is a business partner, providing operational and strategic HR guidance and support to a range of business units across both the US and the UK. This role works closely with the VP, People and a variety of different stakeholders including People+ team members, employees, managers, IT, and Finance. This role is the first point of contact to resolve HR enquiries, while creating and driving forward strategic initiatives and projects. The People+ Manager also works closely with the Chief of People to deliver and implement the HR strategic People plan, ensuring initiatives are driven forward and successfully embedded across the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Building effective business partnerships with department leaders, managers and employees at all levels - developing a strong understanding of their work to provide thorough and trusted HR guidance
  • Act as the first point of contact for all employee queries
  • Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Working collaboratively with the Assembled Intelligence People+ team, to share best practice, ensuring a consistent approach and regular updates
  • Work closely with all members of the People+ team (Payroll and TA) as well as IT and Finance to ensure an excellent and efficient service is delivered across the business
  • Provide employee relations counsel, support, and guidance to managers
  • Take a coaching approach to facilitate effective, consistent, empowering management - enabling managers to feel confident and supported in all aspects of people management
  • Guiding managers through the 30/60/90-day review process as well as performance assessments
  • Help to deliver and implement the People team’s strategic People Plan, driving global initiatives and change management programs across the business
  • Ability to leverage and navigate HR systems to streamline HR processes and maximize employee experience
  • Optimize the employee experience & overall engagement throughout the employee life cycle. This may include; onboarding, engagement initiatives, HR policies, benefits and Compliance and HRIS set up
  • Experience recruiting across all levels and engaging with candidates at all levels of the recruitment process
  • Ensuring all People+ administration tasks and associated documentation are completed including; employment contracts, starters/leavers/transfers/ exit interviews.
  • Delivering and coordinating new hire on-boarding programs for new starters

Skills required:

  • Thorough understanding of US employment legislation, keeping regularly updated and company adherence
  • Highly organized with a positive, proactive approach
  • Strong communications skills with ability to connect with a variety of stakeholders across the business
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and judgement sufficient to handle sensitive employment issues
  • Strong people-management skills
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed and goal-orientated, having the flexibility to deal with changing priorities while focused on customer service and quality

Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
  • At least 7 years of senior human resource generalist experience, in an advertising agency environment is preferred
  • Experience working within a global business an asset
  • Experience working in and navigating ATS, HRIS, Payroll systems, AI tools
  • Dayforce and Greenhouse experience is preferred
  • Actively uses approved AI tools to support and accelerate day-to-day work. Brings curiosity and a willingness to experiment with emerging AI capabilities relevant to their practice — within the agency's established guidelines
  • Experienced managing or mentoring junior People team an asset.
  • Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
