POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a talented Social Media Manager to support social media initiatives for the agency’s clients. This role will be responsible for creating, curating and/or sourcing and publishing original copy and visual content, scheduling content across platforms and daily community management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering social marketing results, with the ability to plan from scratch and drive ideas from conception to execution.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. 

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

As a Social Media Manager, you will:

  • Write highly creative, engaging and insight-driven copy for social media platforms and prepare monthly content calendars
  • Create original social media content utilizing client brand and marketing materials
  • Capture and assist in the production of high-quality social media images and videos
  • Schedule and publish organic social content on client’s social channels
  • Manage day-to-day activity across these platforms, from concept to posting, monitoring and community management  
  • Work with clients to create an organic social media strategy (at times, paid social) in collaboration with the client’s marketing team and joining client calls
  • Create analytics reports that capture key metrics, takeaways and optimization strategies
  • Set up client social accounts – securing handles, drafting bios and selecting avatars
  • Identify, solicit and manage Influencers for client campaigns and initiatives
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools and communicate relevance to clients 
  • Monitor and proactively research industry developments, creative trends, and culturally relevant moments to continuously push our social media efforts forward with speed and efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3+ years of proven work experience in the field of social media
  • Fluency in social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
  • Proficiency using content planning and social media analytics tools (ex: Later, Sprout Social, Dash Hudson)
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite — specifically Illustrator, Photoshop & After Effects 
  • An eye for detail and strong grasp of high-end brand aesthetics
  • Has knowledge and passion for New York City real estate, hotels and architecture
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple clients 
  • Enjoys pop culture and staying in-the-know on current stories and happenings
  • Does not have a fear of heights as they’ll regularly attend construction site tours

COMPENSATION

M18 offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. 

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $65,000 - $75,000
