Role:
The Commissioning Lead will perform and oversee the startup and operational readiness of our modular plants that convert landfill gas into biofuels (methanol and renewable natural gas). This position plays a key role in validating the performance and quality of M2X’s modular equipment both at the factory and in the field. Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Lead and conduct SAT and on-site commissioning activities, ensuring system readiness, safety, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation, including punch lists, test records, and system handover packages.
  • Supervise and mentor commissioning technicians, ensuring cohesive collaboration across company disciplines.
  • Verify proper installation, loop checks, function tests, and performance validation of mechanical and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot process, instrumentation, and automation issues during startup and optimization.
  • Interface with engineering, manufacturing, project development, and field operations teams to resolve technical or schedule issues.
  • Maintain strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards throughout commissioning activities.
  • Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and updating standard commissioning practices and procedures for modular deployments.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in process plant commissioning, startup, or operations (chemical, gas processing, or related).
  • Strong working knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, and utilities.
  • Proven experience conducting FAT and/or SAT for process equipment
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and commissioning checklists.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills with pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, analyzers, and PLC-based systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for field and factory assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in renewable natural gas (RNG) processing, landfill gas operations, or methanol production systems.
  • Prior leadership experience in commissioning or startup team management.
  • Familiarity with modular or containerized plant designs and associated testing processes.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
