Senior Product Manager, Data & AI

Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States

M3 (www.m3as.com) is a leading provider of hospitality-specific software solutions, delivering cloud-based tools for hotel accounting, financial reporting, labor management, payroll, and business intelligence. Built by hoteliers for hoteliers, M3 empowers hotel owners, operators, and management companies to streamline back-office operations, reduce costs, gain real-time insights, and drive portfolio performance across thousands of properties in North America and beyond.

We're now entering our most ambitious chapter: evolving from the industry's leading accounting platform into a data and AI powerhouse that transforms how hoteliers forecast, decide, and operateWe're looking for a product leader who has lived inside this industry and has the vision to reimagine what a hotel data platform can be.

Description:

As Senior Product Manager for Data & AI, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for M3's next-generation data platform. You will define what it means for M3 to move from financial reporting to operational intelligence surfacing the right insight, at the right moment, for every level of the hotel organization.

You'll build on a uniquely strong foundation: M3 already sits at the intersection of accounting, labor, PMS, and benchmark data for thousands of properties. Your job is to unlock that asset. You'll be thinking about data unification, AI-driven forecasting, embedded analytics, and intelligent automation all through the lens of someone who has been in the hotel GM's chair, the corporate finance seat, or the revenue management war room.

This role is a high-visibility, high-impact position at the center of M3's growth strategy.

Essential Duties:

The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Define and own the multi-year product roadmap for M3's data and AI suite, from embedded dashboards and KPI frameworks to AI-assisted forecasting and anomaly detection, benchmarking against best-in-class competitors in hospitality analytics and building a compelling narrative that positions M3's data capabilities as a strategic platform, not a reporting bolt-on.
  • Discovery & Customer Insight: Conduct deep discovery with hotel management companies, ownership groups, GMs, directors of finance, and revenue managers to surface unmet needs; translate USALI fluency, STR benchmarking intuition, and on-property operational context into actionable requirements; and identify where M3's unique data assets, spanning GL, labor, PMS, and GSS, create defensible moats competitors can't easily replicate.
  • Roadmap Execution: Write crisp, developer-ready specs and user stories; define and monitor success metrics from adoption and time-to-insight to portfolio performance outcomes; and manage a backlog that balances bold strategic bets with the incremental improvements your customers depend on daily.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with sales, customer success, and marketing to drive go-to-market for new data products; work with M3's integration ecosystem to expand the platform's data surface area with new sources like OTB data, GSS, payroll, and market benchmarks; and collaborate with the CPO on investment cases, partner strategy, and data product monetization.
  • AI & Innovation: Define practical, high-value applications of AI for hotel finance and operations (intelligent variance explanations, natural language querying, AI-generated commentary reports, predictive labor scheduling); evaluate build vs. partner vs. acquire options for AI capabilities; and stay ahead of LLM application patterns, embedded analytics technology, and data platform architecture, with a specific lens on hospitality applicability.

What You Bring:

Product Management Excellence

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on data, analytics, BI, or AI products.
  • You understand how hotels actually work daily reporting cycles, the USALI chart of accounts, the rhythm of a budget season, what a GM needs to see before 9 AM, and why a 2% labor variance matters.
  • Proven ability to take ambiguous, complex problems and turn them into prioritized, executable roadmaps.
  • Strong user story and spec writing skills. You write requirements that engineers trust and designers can run with.
  • Experience shipping analytics or intelligence products in a SaaS environment.

Data & Technical Fluency

  • Comfortable in conversations about data modeling, API design, data pipelines, and embedded analytics architectures; you don't need to write the code, but you need to earn the room.
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics technologies (e.g., Looker, Tableau, custom dashboard frameworks, or embedded analytics SDKs).
  • Experience with or strong curiosity about applied AI/ML in a business context including LLMs, forecasting models, and AI-assisted workflows.

Communication & Influence

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can write a one-pager that changes a room's mind and present a product vision that energizes an engineering team.
  • Comfortable operating with senior stakeholders and navigating the tension between bold vision and pragmatic execution.

Nice to Have:

  • Direct experience with hotel technology platforms PMS (Opera, Maestro, Cloudbeds, etc.), STR data, payroll systems, or hospitality-specific accounting software.
  • Experience with embedded analytics or white-label data platform products.
  • Background in hospitality management consulting, hotel asset management, or revenue management technology.
  • Exposure to USALI reporting standards and hotel-specific financial statement structures.

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
