Electronics Technician 2

M9 Solutions is seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Chantilly, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment and systems.
  • Utilizes and comprehends the project safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing adherence to the client's handbook and policies.
  • Analyzes and interprets complete client drawing packages to assess constructability, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects, executing installation and maintenance activities within planned durations.
  • Tracks and inventories tools, conducting consistent tool inspections and performing tool inventory at the end of each day for assigned tools and equipment.
  • Participates in 10-minute daily ORM meetings, ensuring team compliance with safety requirements.
  • Participates in PITCO plan creation and build-out, executing PITCO plan to include testing to verify high quality.
  • Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and all mounting hardware components, ensuring proper grounding and adherence to NEC standards.
  • Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment.
  • Racks and stacks head-end equipment, terminates and performs cable terminations and accessories associated with industry standards.
  • Communicates consistently with the client's Project Teams, exhibiting dedication, punctuality, and preparedness for work.
  • Acts as a collaborative teammate, providing and absorbing constructive feedback with both internal and external customers in a positive manner.
  • Plans and prioritizes tasks effectively, understanding and embodying the client's vision, mission, and values.
  • Survey and document existing field conditions, providing feedback and recommendations to the project team.
  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • 100% travel role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Education
    • HS diploma or GED, Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours), or
    • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or
    • Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
    • An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
  • 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple client programs.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Requires a Valid driver's license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with the client's policy.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems: CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications, and experience in installation of said systems.
  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program, or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • 3 years of the above experience must be focused on electronic security systems.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are a plus.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $180,000 USD
