The Role

You will build, maintain, and communicate accurate Gannt charts to ensure critical lead times and delivery schedules are understood by hardware, propellant, and test engineers. You will work across several projects at once, typically rocket motor development, component test campaigns, prototype hardware, and related R&D efforts, and keep leadership and technical leads aligned on status, critical path, requirements flow, and risks. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed Gantt charts and in Smart Sheet (or equivalent) for multiple small-to-medium complexity aerospace programs running in parallel
  • Translate statements of work, technical plans, and team inputs into work breakdown structures, task logic, durations, resource loading, and milestones, linking predecessors and successors to understand critical paths
  • Update information regularly based on actual progress, change requests, hardware availability; identify critical path and schedule risks
  • Produce clear schedule reports, look-ahead views, and variance analysis for project leads, engineering managers, and program reviews
  • Coordinate with engineers, technicians, procurement, and test operations to keep task dependencies, lead times, and constraints current
  • Support baseline establishment, schedule health checks, and what-if analysis when scope or resources change
  • Maintain schedule version control and documentation consistent with company and customer requirements
  • Participate in project kickoffs, status meetings, and after-action reviews; flag schedule impacts early
  • Other duties as assigned in a fast-paced R&D and production environment

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-7 years of project scheduling concurrent projects of small-to-medium complexity without losing fidelity on any one of them
  • Demonstrated proficiency building and maintaining Gantt charts and logic-driven schedules. Smartsheet and Microsoft Project strongly preferred; Primavera P6 experience a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects small-to-medium complexity without losing fidelity on any of them
  • Strong understanding of work breakdown structures, critical path method, float, resource leveling, and baseline management
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to explain schedule status and impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting rocket propulsion, energetics, or aerospace hardware programs (design - fabrication - test)
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems and government contracting envirnments
  • PMP, CAPM, or scheduling-specific certification
  • Experience with Excel-based schedule analysis and simple dashboards. PowerBI experience a plus
  • Hands-on comfort working with engineering and shop-floor teams in a R$D, test, and manufacturing setting

  • Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
