Location: New York City, NY - Hybrid (in-office as needed, usually 3 days/week)
Hours: 9-6pm Local Time
Compensation: $110,000 base compensation. In addition, this role is eligible for a performance bonus and retirement contributions.

About This Role:
The Knowledge Manager plays a crucial role in Macrae’s global knowledge management task force, by supporting local recruiters in driving revenue and delivering exceptional service to clients and candidates. The primary responsibility of this role is to focus on providing local recruiters support by drafting emails and documents, tracking candidate and client outreach, coordinating with candidates and clients, and providing the latest market intelligence on local and global market conditions. In addition, the Knowledge Manager works in coordination with other team members around the firm in evaluating, formulating, and presenting system data to enable efficient decision-making for recruiters and management.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Recruiter, Candidate, & Client Support
- Provide administrative practice support to 2-4 recruiters
- Schedule client, recruiter, and candidate meetings, interviews, and video conferences
- Draft, prepare, and finalize correspondence, client deliverables, internal documents, and other materials to support recruiters
- Prepare background materials for candidate and client meetings.
2. Market Intelligence & Data Management
- Research market trends, candidates, and law firms using Macrae’s database and other sources to drive business leads.
- Ensure database research information (e.g., market intelligence, target lists, and meeting notes) remains accurate and up-to-date for search activity.
- Identify, capture, and distribute critical information to team members and company-wide as needed.
- Organize, store, and analyze company data while maintaining strict confidentiality and security standards.
3. Collaboration & Best Practices Implementation
- Coordinate and host team collaboration meetings to drive business development.
- Work with recruiters to determine what reports, support, coaching, and reminders they need to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with other Knowledge Managers and their manager to refine Best Practices and continually improve workflows across the firm.
- Run periodic training sessions on best practices for the firm.
4. Strategic & Operational Contributions
- Contribute to local office and company-wide initiatives aimed at building and supporting recruiter practices.
- Provide remote and in-person support for local offices as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Work Experience
- Must have a minimum of 6+ years of professional work experience in a support role at law firms, legal or executive search, professional services industries, and/or with C-levels (or equivalent experience)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Skills & Attributes
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, and Excel); ability to quickly learn new databases as needed.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to white-glove, client-focused service—both internally and externally.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Intuitive, proactive, highly responsive, and able to anticipate recruiter and team needs.
- Interest in the legal industry or legal recruiting is preferred.
