The Role
Over the past three years, Madano’s Healthcare Practice has grown significantly to become one of the UK’s largest focused healthcare communications. To support our continued growth, we’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our team. This person should have at least one years’ experience in a healthcare consultancy setting.
A Senior Account Executive is a critical part of our accounts and will be integral to developing content and learning efficient project management. We are looking for a disciplined self-starter who thrives on a high level of personal accountability and a willingness to learn. The candidate must be able to show their interest in all things healthcare communications – media, medical, advocacy, digital – through recent projects. We want someone who can help our clients tell their unique stories.
Communications expertise
- An ability to write strong first drafts for a range of materials, including articles, press releases and social content.
- An ability to communicate and coordinate briefs and feedback with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- A knowledge of digital communications and social media.
- A strong scientific background and ability to simplify complex science ensure projects are compliant.
- A knowledge of different pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and the broader landscape in which they operate.
Client service
- An ability to deliver high quality work across multiple accounts.
- An ability to multi-task in time-sensitive, pressurised situations.
- Knows the status of all projects and ensures timelines are adhered to by all parties.
- Proactivity and enthusiasm in learning new skills and building experience in new areas.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to proofread/QC documents at each stage of development.
- An ability to identify and disseminate relevant information to clients as requested.
- Understanding of who to involve and engage with at all stages of a project.
Business development
- Brings fresh thinking and ideas to support the team in winning new business.
People skills
- An ability to build relationships across the Healthcare Team and wider company.
- An ability to build trusted relationships with clients on the accounts on which you work.

Location
Our team meets regularly at our Central London office, so the ideal candidate would be open to joining us in person at least 3 days a week. Madano offers flexible start/end times around core working hours and working from home is certainly an option.
