We are seeking a skilled and experienced Transformer Coil Winder to join our team in Batavia, OH. This is a critical role within our Engineering Department, focused on the precision winding of distribution-class transformer coils. You will be responsible for operating coil winding machinery, assembling key transformer components, interpreting technical documentation, and contributing to a safe and efficient work environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands-on with a team dedicated to manufacturing excellence and innovation.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Operating Winding Equipment: Independently and safely operate transformer winding machinery within your first week.
  
  
• Mechanical Assembly: Weld and braze aluminum and copper components. Install and secure tap leads and other internal components based on engineering drawings.
  
  
• Interpret Documentation: Follow detailed engineering specifications to ensure all work meets design and compliance standards.
  
  
• Heavy Equipment Handling: Safely use overhead cranes and forklifts to move and position transformer parts. Comply with all shop safety policies and procedures.
  
  
• Quality Assurance: Maintain a high attention to detail to meet strict quality and safety standards. Identify, correct, and escalate errors during the winding and assembly process.
  
  
• Continuous Improvement: Adapt quickly to evolving transformer designs and production schedules. Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve processes and reduce waste.
  
  

Experience & Education:

• 3-5+ years of experience in transformer coil winding (distribution-class preferred)
  
  
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Familiarity with winding tension and tap connection troubleshooting
  
  
• Able to interpret transformer drawings and technical documentation
  
  
• Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, and other relevant industry standards
  
  
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Pay & Benefits:

• Annual Compensation: $105k–$120k (based on $33–$40/hour, depending on experience) Plus up to $1,000 monthly wellness stipend and other benefits.
