DELIVERY DIRECTOR

The Delivery Director is responsible for overseeing the smooth, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all creative
outputs from the studio, including print, photography, motion, and digital. Acting as the bridge between creative
ambition and operational execution, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on brief
while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. The Delivery Director mentors client
services and creative teams, establishes best-practice workflows, and partners closely with senior leadership to
align delivery with agency goals. While the role is accountable for operational excellence, financial oversight, and
risk management, it is not responsible for defining creative direction or generating design concepts—its focus is
on enabling and safeguarding the delivery of those ideas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
— Be creatively minded and understand how to carefully balance the flexibility required of a business with
creativity at its core, alongside the rigour and strong organisational skills which some of our clients can
expect.
— Be responsible for nurturing strong partnerships with clients and design leads, managing their
expectations accordingly.
— Support Resource Manager & Client Services Director on the planning process to ensure the Account
Management team are set up for success. You will prioritise the work that needs to be done against the
capacity and capability of the team, leading on capacity and demand planning and commercial
profitability targets.
— Support in creating the frameworks and processes by which to manage resource proactively. You will
ensure that the balance is appropriate, i.e. allowing projects to be resourced to meet project deliverables
whilst not overworking the team.
— Support the Client Services Director in forecasting Studio workflow for the upcoming quarter,
providing solutions to how we will deliver upcoming work streams or how we can grow accounts
— Create and develop a strong relationship with the Creative Directors, to form a collaborative relationship
between the two departments
— Working with the Partnership & Growth Team to ensure there is a healthy pipeline, providing
solutions and suggestions for how projects best flow through the studio
— Advise AMs on best practice ways of working to match both internal (colleagues) and external (clients)
expectations.
— Be a strong support for the Client Services Director, with the ability to step up and cover some of their
responsibilities in their absence, where needed.
— Support the PM team to ensure they track and report on the financial status of projects across
accounts against current estimate. You will ensure they proactively highlight potential overruns
accurately, acting as the point of escalation, resolving financial issues in time.
— Be accountable for all financial elements of projects, including oversight on the creation of SOW’s
created by AM’s for clients, costings, and the timing of invoicing, seen as the point of escalation.
STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
— Lead the end-to-end delivery of all studio outputs, ensuring projects across print, photography,
motion, and digital are executed to the highest creative and operational standards.
— Act as the senior point of accountability for project delivery, bridging creative ambition with
operational excellence.
— Partner with senior leadership to align delivery practices with agency vision, client expectations, and
commercial goals.
— Define and implement delivery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices that scale across the
studio.
OPERATIONAL OVERSIGHT
— Drive the integration of project management, production, and creative functions to ensure smooth
workflow and effective collaboration.
— Establish clear KPIs, reporting structures, and performance measures for delivery efficiency.
— Establish clear process for projects to follow for bets creative output and agency protection (licensing,
client approval etc.)
— Ensure all outputs—print, photography, digital, experiential—are delivered on time, on budget, and on
brief.
— Work with resource team to build a strong black book of freelancers and suppliers for future
collaborations.
CLIENT AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
— Build trusted relationships with key clients, acting as a delivery lead who ensures confidence in
execution.
— Translate client needs and creative strategy into realistic delivery plans, managing expectations
around scope, timing, and budget.
— Serve as escalation point for delivery challenges, resolving issues quickly and effectively.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
— Own delivery budgets across multiple accounts, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and
profitability.
— Negotiate with suppliers, partners, and freelancers to achieve best value and quality.
— Identify efficiencies and process improvements to drive margin growth.
— Create pipeline of production predicting and reconciling margins
TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
— Lead, mentor, and inspire delivery, project management, and production across creative and
client services teams
— Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and proactive problem solving.
— Identify training and development opportunities to strengthen delivery capabilities within the
agency
QUALITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT
— Ensure rigorous quality control processes are in place across all outputs.
— Anticipate and mitigate risks to delivery, ensuring resilience in process and workflow.
— Uphold brand integrity, legal compliance, and creative excellence across every project.
INNOVATION AND GROWTH
— Champion new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance delivery effectiveness.
— Drive continuous improvement, embedding agile ways of working where appropriate.
— Drive client growth by proactively identifying and selling in production opportunities
— Work in partnership with Client Services and the Partnership & Growth team to define precise
scopes that set new opportunities up for success
