Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance

Role Overview
The Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance plays a central role in MEI's capital formation and growth strategy, supporting initiatives that span capital markets transactions, platform and operating portfolio M&A, and project underwriting support. This role contributes directly to the capital raises and strategic acquisitions that fuel MEI's rapidly growing platform. The Senior Analyst is expected to operate independently, work across teams and external parties, and drive continuous improvement across finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support MEI's capital raises, including preparation of investor materials, data room management, and coordination of diligence responses
- Manage modeling and diligence workstreams across platform and operating portfolio M&A opportunities, from initial screening through close
- Review project-level models and refine underwriting criteria to support capital allocation decisions
- Prepare presentations and analysis for senior leadership, the board, and external stakeholders
- Support other strategic finance initiatives on an as-needed basis
Qualifications
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- Experience – 2-5+ years of experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related finance discipline
- Technical Skills – Advanced Excel and financial modeling; proficiency with PowerPoint and data/BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
- Mindset – Detail-oriented and self-sufficient, comfortable working through ambiguity while managing multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment

$90,000 - $110,000 a year
The actual salary offered may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience and location.
