Role Overview
Maesa is looking for a Customer Development Analyst to support our growing portfolio for Ulta, including brands like Kristin Ess. This role plays a key part in driving business growth through data-driven insights, cross-functional collaboration, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Customer Development, you will analyze sales trends, manage key retail processes, and support strategic initiatives to optimize performance at retailers. This role will be based in either Chicago (remote) or NYC (hybrid in-office presence).
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Ulta Customer Development team and cross-functional partners to enable achievement of the annual performance goals within the organizational strategies and objectives across accelerating brands such as Kristin Ess & others.
- Identify trends, develop insights, and translate findings to drive improved business performance for Maesa & key retailers
- Self-starter that thrives on using data to make insightful business decisions
- Manage new item set up, promotional calendars, sales trackers, assortment management, sample coordination, and contract management
- Work closely with other functions (Marketing/Planning/Operations) to ensure optimum customer service levels
- Miscellaneous ad-hoc research and data analysis projects in the beauty category
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or Finance related field
- 2-4 years of experience preferred
- Experience working with Ulta or in merchandising, retail, or buying is a plus.
- Previous roles and responsibilities relating to analytics required (inclusive of internships)
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment
- Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools to track performance, identify opportunities, and optimize sales strategies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Motivated, pro-active, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- A passion for the beauty industry and a deep curiosity of consumer trends and behaviors in the beauty space.
- Ideal experience with PIM, Power BI, planograms, and sample management.
What We Offer
$75K/yr - $83K/yr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
