In 2018, we introduced the first embedded wallet, enabling users to create wallets with just an email or social login. This approach has since become standard across much of the industry. To date, we've helped onboard 50+ million wallets and 200,000+ developers, supporting industry-leading projects like Polymarket, Helium, WalletConnect, and Immutable, as well as large enterprises such as Forbes, Mattel, and Naver. 

Today, we’re also building Newton Protocol, the authorization layer for onchain finance: a programmable policy embedded within smart contracts that ensures every transaction initiated from a Magic wallet passes through real-time controls at the moment of signing (e.g. spending limits, counterparty allowlists, and KYC/AML checks), without relying on offchain solutions. 

Together, Magic + Newton form a complete account-to-authorization tech stack from wallet creation to the moment money moves, designed to be composable and auditable for the next generation of fintechs, neobanks, and institutional issuers building on stablecoin and tokenized asset rails.

We’ve secured 53M+ wallets since 2018 and were the first to secure SOC2 Type 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA certifications in the industry. We're backed by investors including PayPal Ventures, Lightspeed, Placeholder, Volt, Synchrony Ventures, SV Angel, Naval Ravikant, and Balaji Srinivasan.
