The opportunity 

As a Product Quality Technician, you’ll play a hands-on role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Magic Leap products. You’ll interpret quality standards, engineering drawings, control plans, and product specifications to perform precise inspections, measurements, and testing.

When issues arise, you’ll compile and communicate your findings to engineering and operations teams, contributing valuable insights that support continuous improvement. Your attention to detail, strong sense of ownership, and collaborative mindset will be key to success in this role.

What you’ll do 

• Perform inspections and measurements on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and operate measurement equipment, ensuring proper calibration and usage.
• Follow and maintain standardized visual and metrology inspection procedures.
• Support factory-level quality metrics and contribute to 8D problem-solving processes for customer-reported issues.

The experience you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience conducting quality inspections based on product specifications.
• Background in root cause analysis and supporting corrective action implementation.
• Familiarity with electronic microscopes and basic measurement tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Self-motivated with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

It’s exciting if you also have

• Associate or technical degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience developing and executing basic inspection programs for CMM or OMM equipment.
• Training or experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
