VOICE INTERN | JOB DESCRIPTION 

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, internships serve as opportunities for students and new professionals to gain experience in various fields by contributing their skills and expertise toward achieving organizational goals. Interns will be assigned to one department for the duration of the semester, and specific projects or tasks will be determined per departmental need. Interns work from various Magnolia locations in Waco, Texas. The Voice Intern reports to the Copywriter, Brand Experience and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Please note: The Summer Internship will run from May 27, 2025 – August 22, 2025. Interns should plan to be in Waco, Texas for the duration of the program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Draft brand copy as assigned; including but not limited to marketing campaigns, social media, core brand projects, ecommerce initiatives, and event branding 
  • See all draft copy through the approvals process and implement all necessary edits 
  • Develop awareness and maintain consistence use of Magnolia brand voice in all projects 
  • Complete projects or tasks as instructed by internship supervisor 
  • Participate in internship group development and service opportunities throughout semester 
  • Collaborate with team members and key stakeholders to determine the priority and process of assignments  
  • Ensure that projects are on track for correct execution within required deadlines  
  • Hold all sensitive information with the strictest confidence  
  • Communicate effectively across multiple teams to ensure a cohesive goal is achievable    
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be a college junior or senior, graduate student, or recent graduate (up to two years post grad)  
  • Must be available to work 15-25 hours weekly for the duration of the internship program 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
