Magnolia Market - Assistant Store Manager
SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the Assistant Store Manager, Magnolia Market is responsible for facilitating the host experience, creating an exceptional guest experience, and overseeing all operations of the retail floor. The Assistant Store Manager, Magnolia Market oversees every area of the store, including product management, operations, and employees. This position works closely with the Store Manager and Crew Leaders to ensure key performance metrics are being met on a daily basis, provide coaching to employees, manage the guest experience, and ensure daily business needs are communicated to management. This position works from Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Store Manager, Magnolia Market and has supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and observe the sales floor to ensure exceptional guest experience*
- Manage Retail Specialists and Hosts and lead in daily opening tasks including replenishment of the sales floor and other visual merchandise tasks as needed to maximize sales goals*
- Leverage all necessary tools to manage the store business operations in overseeing sales goals, labor, and supplies management*
- Ensure visual displays are up to visual standards*
- Manage crew leaders to coach and develop the team through timely feedback*
- Identify bottlenecks on the sales floor and actively create solutions
- Ensure a high level of product knowledge both for self and direct reports
- Coordinate and lead orientation and training
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring host level positions
- Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 3-5 years of related work experience preferred
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, special events, and holidays as business needs require
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is expected to utilize team lifting techniques when lifting bulky items or items weighing above 50 pounds and up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
