Senior Events Specialist

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, the Senior Events Specialist in supports the strategy and day-to-day execution of seasonal brand activations, guest experiences, and ticketed events across the Magnolia Silos campus. This position oversees the planning and rollout of assigned activation programs, manages timelines and deliverables for guest-facing moments, and ensures on-site quality, styling, and guest engagement. It coordinates hospitality needs and fosters exceptional guest experiences in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Brand Experience and Events and has no supervisory responsibilities. 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead the planning and execution of seasonal activations and ticketed experiences, ensuring alignment with Magnolia’s brand and guest expectations* 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design cohesive, on-brand guest experiences across assigned zones 
  • Act as the on-site lead during activations, managing real-time needs, supervising seasonal team members, and resolving issues as they arise* 
  • Maintain production calendars, activation checklists, and schedules to ensure details are executed smoothly and on time 
  • Coordinate hospitality needs and partner with Guest Services to brief frontline staff and elevate the overall guest experience 
  • Monitor guest engagement and event flow, making adjustments when needed to maintain safety, quality, and brand integrity 
  • Serve as the main point of contact for venue rentals, partnering with both internal teams and third-party vendors to deliver spectacular events* 
  • Participate in event setup and teardown, contribute creative ideas, and recommend process improvements for future activations* 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred 
  • 2-4 years of experience with a related degree, 4-7 years of experience with a non-related degree, or 5+ years of industry experience preferred 
  • Required to work all Magnolia events; must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may increase during specific events and large-scale concerts.
