Sales & Operations Planning Manager
SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the Sales & Operations Planning Manager (S&OP) is responsible for managing the internal Sales and Operations Planning processes as well as optimizing the movement of inbound goods to ensure efficient container utilization, maintain inventory balance and ensure marketplace demand is met. This position collaborates with product management, planning, merchandising, finance, and distribution center teams to ensure plan alignment across cross-functional teams and there is an efficient flow of all inbound product. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Director of Supply Chain and has supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment with finance, merchandise financial planning, merchandising, and warehouse operations*
- Oversee the optimal flow of supply and inventory into the marketplace to meet demand and service levels*
- Implement proactive strategies for people, processes, and tools to support inventory availability and reliability*
- Manage the S&OP team, providing leadership, training, and accountability to achieve performance goals*
- Focus on operational excellence across purchase order creation, maintenance, execution, and compliance
- Ensure on-time delivery and reliable flow to support marketplace success
- Review KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, finance, and warehouse teams to resolve issues and prioritize efficiencies*
- Manage supplier, vendor, transportation, and order compliance according to company standards and goals*
- Utilize strong communication skills and maintain a professional relationship with other areas of the company as well as suppliers, vendors, and logistics companies
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Hard skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Structured Query Language (SQL), relational databases, and ERP systems required
ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Planning, Operations or related field preferred
- 5+ years of related work experience in operations management, supply chain, or S&OP preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Prior experience managing direct reports preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
