Job Title: Field Area Manager
Position Summary:
The role of the Field Area Manager is responsible for supervising a portfolio of stores, overseeing various operational process sectors within the organization. They are responsible for the operational execution of our ops plan and strategy, identifying gaps and celebrating successes. This role consistently follows up on set goals and operational imperatives in our retail stores that drive results and maintain Magnolia brand standards of execution. They follow a routine of store visits and provide a consistent leadership presence in stores ensuring the stores have the proper support and are staying committed to delivering on our company goals
Reports to: VP of Retail Operations
Principal Duties:
- Ensuring General managers maintain acceptable staffing levels in all departments to build sales and improve profitability.
- Support in interviewing potential store leadership to help improve productivity and quality of the guest experience.
- Ensures that stores are following proper menu offerings to follow Magnolia Bakery standards, including all our classic items, Specialty items and seasonal offerings. Partners with the VP of Ops and appropriate Home Office team if issues arise that need addressing (product, equipment, etc.)
- Conducts store audits that validate Magnolia Bakery store standards and guidelines
- Drive performance and sales levels improvements for all Magnolia Bakery store locations.
- Work with Vice President of Operations to drive meeting the labor and sales, and customer service goals and expectations for Magnolia Bakery locations in alignment with region and company goals.
- Produces and maintains an effective and measurable succession plan for all levels within their area, including management, key hourly team members and shift leaders.
- Teaches, coaches, develops, and holds General Managers accountable to in turn develop their managers and supervisors to their fullest leadership potential while delivering results.
- Create an environment of openness and trust with constant feedback and performance coaching.
- Fill-in as acting General Manager for stores when the General Manager is out and/or is in the process of being replaced to ensure the store continues to run properly and ensure Magnolia Bakery standards are met in the interim.
- Ensures that the strictest standards of sanitation, food safety and cleanliness are practiced and consistent in every store.
- Partners with the Food Safety & Compliance Manager to stay up to date in all aspects of Food Safety and Compliance in accordance with Magnolia Bakery Standards and DOH Regulations.
- Ensure market is showing continuous improvement in driving performance and utilizing performance management skills.
- Ensuring that all Purchase Orders, Transfer Orders, Inventory, Invoice receiving, and all items related are properly managed through Netsuite in a timely manner, following Magnolia Bakery policies and P&P’s.
- Supporting and participating in the roll out of new projects and programs and leading the implementation at store level.
- Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the business.

- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
- 5+ Years in Retail or hospitality industry management experience.
- Multi-unit retail or hospitality experience required.
- Knowledgeable on State and Federal labor laws and regulations.
- Has knowledge of HR
- Ability to handle confidential information and exercises good decision qualities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple critical deliverables with exceptional attention to detail while also meeting deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment and prioritize competing requests.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extremely perceptive and capable of relating to individuals at all levels.
- Excellent administrative and data management skills.
- Ability to identify, suggest and implement process improvements.
- Microsoft office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Thrives in a fast pace, constantly changing environment
Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 (based on experience) plus bonus eligibility
This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available to work all shifts if needed which include evenings, early
mornings, and weekends. Work scheduled will be 45-55 hours/week; 5 days/week.
