JOB TITLE: Regional Recruiter 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Regional Recruiter, reporting to the VP of HR, is responsible for designing, streamlining, and implementing the overall recruiting strategy, including managing the full recruitment and onboarding cycle for Magnolia Bakery. This role serves as the first point of contact and brand ambassador for potential hires, sourcing and interviewing candidates across retail bakeries, corporate office, franchising team, commissary, and executive-level positions.  

REPORTS TO: VP of HR

SALARY: $85,000-$100,000/yr + 5% bonus eligibility

LOCATION: Hybrid out of the New York City home office

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:  

Recruitment  

  • Accountable to fill all retail bakeries, corporate office, franchising team, commissary, and executive-level positions.
  • Provide detailed status weekly recruiting reports to VP of HR.
  • Demonstrated experience with executive search and creating a hiring strategy. 
  • Partner and coordinate with hiring managers to fulfill store & departmental needs.  
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Track and assess recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate experience, offer acceptance rate, time-in-stage, and scorecard response time.
  • Specifically accountable for the following Recruitment functions - include sourcing, screening, interviewing, tracking, referencing, and conducting background checks.  
  • Manage opening and closing job requisitions on all active job boards – LinkedIn, Greenhouse, and ADP.

 

Partnerships 

  • Partner with VP of HR to ensure we have a diversified candidate pool for salaried positions 
  • Handle hiring events - Research, schedule and attend career fairs and hiring events.  Coordinate attendees, display, and distribution materials.  
  • Partner and manage relationships with city and government organizations to obtain externs and full-time hires for the retail bakeries and commissary. 
  • Support in the ideation of companywide HR initiatives, which include but is not limited to: benefits open enrollment, employee engagement, ad-hoc culture initiatives, annual reviews, and compensation assessments.  

Onboarding 

  • Manage 360 onboarding, including the candidate onboarding experience from initial conversation, offer creation and all onboarding administration in Harri and internal onboarding Smartsheet. 
  • Accountable for assigning all key stakeholders on the internal onboarding Smartsheet.

 

Internships and Offers 

  • Responsible for hiring staff within compensation guidelines, managing offer stage, electronic on-boarding.
  • Manage Magnolia Bakery internship & externship programs ensuring the program runs smooth & remains active. This includes managing the onboarding process, the structure, timeline, respective location(s), and rotation for the internship.

  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • 3-5 years of experience managing end-to-end recruiting life cycles
  • F & B, retail, or hospitality industry recruitment experience preferred
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and ADP
  • Identify, suggest, and implement process improvements.
  • Microsoft office – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to acutely assess talent 
  • Exhibit excellent administrative and data management skills
  • Relate perceptively to individuals at all levels, from junior staff to executives
  • The ideal candidate must possess strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to build meaningful connections with both prospective candidates and internal team members
  • Handle confidential information and demonstrate strong decision-making abilities.
  • Prioritize multiple critical deliverables with exceptional attention to detail while meeting hiring deadlines.
  • Adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize competing requests
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
