Senior Product Manager, Work Planning

San Francisco, California, Miami, Florida, Raleigh, North Carolina, Toronto, Ontario, & Montréal, Quebec

MaintainX is the world's leading AI-powered maintenance and asset management platform, serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, Shell, Cintas, and Brenntag. We raised $150M in Series D funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, bringing our total funding to $254M. We were named to the Forbes 2025 Cloud 100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world.

We're growing fast and hiring the Product talent to match.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Work Planning capabilities in our Core division. This division contains the bulk of MaintainX features that our customers use every day, including work orders, maintenance plans, parts inventories, and other frontline workflows and analytics. We are looking for someone with deep experience building workflow products for complex operational environments and a track record of turning foundational systems into enterprise differentiators. As MaintainX moves upmarket, our customers need more than a system that creates work — they need a system that ensures every job is fully prepared before a technician picks up a wrench. If owning that problem end-to-end excites you, we want to speak to you.

What you'll do:

  • Own preventive maintenance end-to-end — the backbone of every maintenance operation and the system that generates the majority of our customers' work. You'll define how PM programs work, how work flows through the system, and how we evolve this foundation to meet the needs of increasingly complex enterprise organizations
  • Own the full journey from work request to execution-ready work order — the request portal where needs are submitted, the planner's tools for triaging and preparing work, and the workflow that ensures every job arrives at execution with the right plan, parts, and approvals so technicians spend their time turning wrenches, not chasing information
  • Pioneer agentic planning experiences — from auto-enriching work orders with historical job data to proactively surfacing readiness gaps and forecasting workload, building the intelligent layer that helps planners shift from chasing information to making decisions
  • Own the metrics that tell our customers whether their planning function is performing — PM compliance, planned vs. reactive work ratio, backlog health, and planning accuracy. You'll define what these metrics mean in MaintainX, build the measurement layer, and give maintenance leaders the visibility they need to improve
  • Work closely with Sales to help close and expand large accounts by crisply articulating how MaintainX's planning and work readiness capabilities meet the needs of senior maintenance and operations leaders
  • Inspire and motivate a team of designers and engineers to achieve ambitious outcomes, defining and measuring success using operational metrics that tie directly to customer value

About you:

  • 5–7 years in product management with meaningful time spent building tools for complex operational workflows, ideally at a company serving enterprise customers
  • Proven experience building highly configurable systems for complex operational environments — you've designed products where the challenge was making powerful rules, automation, or configuration accessible to non-technical users across a wide range of enterprise setups
  • Comfortable navigating cross-team dependencies and making smart scope trade-offs on dependency-heavy features — able to define requirements across adjacent teams while staying laser-focused on downstream customer outcomes
  • Proven ability to drive your own discovery in greenfield product areas — you've defined problems from scratch, not just solved well-scoped ones, and you've established measurement baselines where none existed before
  • Able to inspire and rally a team around a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap — connecting day-to-day work to specific KPIs and business goals, and building credibility across all levels from ICs to executives
  • Experience in industrial, field service, or operational technology domains is a strong signal but not a requirement. Interest in AI/agentic product experiences is a plus — the long-term vision includes intelligent automation and you should be excited about building the foundations for that

What's in it for you:

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) / RRSP enrollment program
  • Take what you need PTO
  • A Work Culture where:
    • You'll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values: Smart, Humble, Optimist
    • We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
