Staff Product Manager, LLMX Platform

San Francisco, California, Miami, Florida, Raleigh, North Carolina, Toronto, Ontario, & Montréal, Quebec

MaintainX is the world's leading AI-powered maintenance and asset management platform, serving 13,000+ customers including Duracell, Shell, Cintas, and Brenntag. We raised $150M in Series D funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Bain Capital Ventures, bringing our total funding to $254M. We were named to the Forbes 2025 Cloud 100, the definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world.

We're growing fast and hiring the Product talent to match.

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the AI Platform — known internally as LLMX — within our Work Intelligence (WIQ) group. LLMX is the shared substrate that every MaintainX product team builds AI on: the runtime, orchestration, evaluation, and observability layer powering our growing catalog of agents and intelligent capabilities. This is one of the highest-leverage roles in the company — every AI feature we ship rides on LLMX, and the teams building on it are growing fast. We're looking for a rare combination: a product leader with genuine technical depth in AI systems, strong instincts for platform adoption and developer experience, and the commercial curiosity to connect platform investments to product differentiation and enterprise value. If you've shipped AI infrastructure that other teams depend on — and you know what it takes to build a platform others want to build on — we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Own the LLMX platform end-to-end — including roadmap, execution, adoption (eg teams building, time-to-first-integration), and quality (eg eval coverage, latency, cost)
  • Partner with MaintainX's engineering, data, and ML leaders as a genuine technical peer — pushing the team toward ambitious bets while maintaining the stability and trust of a platform others depend on
  • Work proactively outbound with feature teams across EPD — across Core, Growth, Network, and Platform — to identify the capabilities their upcoming agentic work requires, before those needs become blockers. Some demand may be nascent.
  • Define and deliver the primitives that make the next generation of MaintainX's agentic features possible: routing agents, skill orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, agent memory, conversation compaction, and the Global Chat SDK
  • Own the platform's evaluation infrastructure, including online eval monitoring, dataset promotion, and agent gating, ensuring quality and reliability scales as the number of production agents grows
  • Shape the build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions for models, providers, and infrastructure components — staying ahead of the state of the art in LLMs and agentic AI and translating that currency into platform strategy

About you

  • 10+ years in product management, with meaningful experience in AI platform, ML infrastructure, or developer platform roles — you've shipped production AI services that other teams built on, and you know what it takes to earn and keep their trust
  • Genuine technical depth in AI and LLM systems — you have real, informed opinions on model selection, RAG vs. fine-tuning trade-offs, agentic architectures, evaluation frameworks, and latency/cost optimization
  • Comfortable serving two types of customers simultaneously: the internal dev teams and engineers who build on your platform, and the enterprise buyers whose outcomes ultimately depend on it
  • Strong commercial instinct — you understand how platform investments connect to enterprise differentiation, competitive positioning, and deal cycles.
  • Disciplined about staying current in a fast-moving field — you have a real system for following the state of the art in LLMs and agentic AI and applying it without chasing every new thing
  • Data-driven to the core — you define success in metrics, instrument your platform, and use evaluation frameworks to make quality visible and improvable at scale
  • Experience in the industrial operations or asset management space is a plus, though not required

What's in it for you

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities.
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) / RRSP enrolment program.
  • Take what you need PTO.
  • A Work Culture where:
    • You'll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values, Smart Humble Optimist.
    • We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
