Location:

Remote positions are open to applicants based anywhere in the continental U.S. Hybrid positions are open to applicants based in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

Position Summary: 

As part of the Creative Team, the Video Editing and Animation Manager, will utilize video and animation design skills to execute a wide variety of revenue-based projects across the organization, including national marketing campaigns, social media content, corporate sponsor assets and branded templates. A strong knowledge of video editing and animation design is needed, with a commitment to staying up to date on the latest advancements in video technology and design systems. 

The Video Editing and Animation Manager partners with the Lead ManagerVideo Content and Production to support video and animation content, manage video systems, while adhering to organizational processesbrand quality guidelines, and project needs.

  • Strong video editing and animation skills  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate productive interactions with coworkers and stakeholders  
  • Approach day-to-day video editing and animation work both strategically and tactically, bringing innovative thought to design opportunities and solutions  
  • Strong organizational abilities, with a solid understanding of project and file management   
  • Strong understanding of video editing and animation technology trends  
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong eye for maintaining a level of quality and accuracy in work produced 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Demonstrate best-in-class design understanding, abilities and approach - bringing strategic, effective, efficient and creative solutions to all assigned video and animation projects  
  • Provide strong detail-oriented quality on all work, ensuring a high level of visual excellence in detail, execution and project strategy  
  • Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of all Make-A-Wish brand guidelines, video tools and resources – while continually exploring new creative approaches and solutions, when able  
  • Ability to understand video and animation strategies that ensures work supports and drives revenue-generating requirements  
  • Build collaborative relationships to ensure positive and proactive fulfillment of video and animation needs across the organization  
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the latest video and animation software.  
  • Work closely with the Creative Team Video Content and Production Manager to manage assigned project schedules, tasks and hours  
  • Support org-wide Canva and Data Asset Management (DAM) initiatives by developing brand materials, user trainings, best practices and enhancing system capabilities, as needed  
  • Manages video and animation freelancers and freelance projects, as needed  

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Videography or related field and/or equivalent work experience required
  • 5+ years of total experience, experience in video editing and animation preferred 
  • Operational expertise in the use of Mac OS X operating systems is required.  
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premier and After Effects, LucidLink, Canva and Microsoft Office productrequired.  
  • Knowledge of digital asset management (DAM) systems. 
  • Knowledge of AI-powered creative tools and their functionality. 
  • Experience with Workfront, or other project management software preferred, but not required.  

Working Environment: 

  • Ability to thrive in a remote-first environment. 
  • Travel required, up to 15%  
  • May require work outside a traditional Monday – Friday work week, and outside normal business hours. 

 

This Role's Hiring Range

$61,916 - $72,842 USD
