Branch Manager
Mallory Alexander International Logistics, a global third-party logistics company (3PL) headquartered in Memphis, TN has an immediate opening for a Logistics Professional to join our team!
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Des Plaines, IL office. The ideal candidate will support and lead a team of experienced professionals to drive business growth and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:

Lead the branch with strong, decisive, and entrepreneurial leadership to maximize profitability while upholding high standards of quality and customer service.

Take full ownership of the branch’s P&L performance, ensuring operations align with budget goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Collaborate with internal teams and global partners to support import logistics, trade compliance, and customer success.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to strengthen the company’s market position.

Ensure all branch activities are conducted with the highest level of integrity and in alignment with company values and principles.
- Drive key financial activities such as collections, file closures, and profitability analysis.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Collaborate with global partners to identify and close business opportunities and expand our global presence.

Analyze financial statements (e.g., P&L, cash flow) to implement sound business practices that maximize profitability.

Address recurring operational issues affecting performance, profitability, or process compliance with effective corrective action.

Communicate major developments, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership proactively.

Oversee key financial processes, including accounts receivable, file closure, profitability verification, and dispute resolution.

Ensure timely implementation and follow-up of corrective action plans.

Foster a culture of financial accountability, ensuring the team meets financial targets and KPIs.

Manage team performance in line with company values through coaching, evaluation, and disciplinary procedures.

Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development and succession planning.

Manage staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational demands.

Support the sales team by executing the sales strategy, maintaining personal client relationships, and providing executive-level support and coaching.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

7–10 years of international freight forwarding experience required; Imports and Customs Brokerage. Sales/account management experience preferred.

7–10 years of supervisory or managerial experience required.
-
Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 (commensurate with education and experience) + Bonus
