Import Entry Writer
Mallory Alexander International Logistics, a global third-party logistics company (3PL) headquartered in Memphis, TN has an immediate opening for a Logistics Professional to join our team!
Our successful candidate is an organized team player with excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process entry documentation for a variety of commodities in compliance with U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) including FDA, USDA.
- Arrange pickup of air and ocean freight at origins and arrange transportation to destination.
- Coordinate movement of shipments from port via ocean, air, rail, truck or intermodal.
- Prepare and submit Arrival Notices, delivery orders, and coordinate with warehouses and drayage providers.
- Prepare and examine bills of lading to determine shipping charges and tariffs.
- File ISF (Importer Security Filing) and ensure timely and accurate submission for ocean shipments.
- Communicate with vendors.
- Track and trace shipments.
- Coordinate deliveries to consignees.
- Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, document requirements, holds, exams, and other related issues.
- Post bonds for the products being imported or assist clients in obtaining bonds.
- Pay or arrange for payment of freight, and insurance fees, or other charges.
- Maintain communication and information between Customers and Vendors to ensure that customers’ needs are met.
- Prepare billing invoices and ensure proper costing and documentation in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with CBP regulations and internal SOPs.
Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years freight forwarding industry experience.
- 3+ years Customs Brokerage experience, entry filing and regulatory compliance.
- Cargowise One experience highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivated with a team-player attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Additional Information:
- Salary Range: $50,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
