Import Pricing and Customer Service Coordinator

Mallory Alexander International Logistics, a global third-party logistics company (3PL) headquartered in Memphis, TN has an immediate opening for a Logistics Professional to join our team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interface with existing and potential customers to deliver inbound ocean (FCL and LCL), air import, and truck freight rate estimates upon request.
  • Use available systems, database subscriptions, carrier service guides & information, email communications and internet research to develop the most efficient route and pricing for the requested service.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure coverage of new and existing business.
  • Deliver rate estimates to the customer via a system generated quote, timely and accurately. 
  • Assist with onboarding of new customers into system by collecting information to develop international booking SOP’s, including special routing and bill of lading instructions
  • Coordinate international bookings between shippers and consignees on behalf of our customers, ensuring compliance with SOPs and quotations.  Daily communication with our overseas offices and logistics partners.
  • Research pricing and transportation document discrepancies and reporting findings.
  • Work closely with department managers and sales personnel, including playing a key role in RFQ/RFP responses.
  • Oversee billing accuracy and ensure client-specific rate structures are correctly applied.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in international import logistics, including ocean and air freight required.
  • Strong communication skills required, including the ability to quickly respond to requests for assistance or information.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have demonstrated critical thinking skills and be process oriented.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and logistics management systems (CargoWise experience a plus).
