Export Supervisor

Mallory Alexander International Logistics, a global third-party logistics company (3PL) headquartered in Memphis, TN has an immediate opening for a Logistics Professional to join our team!

The Export Supervisor oversees all aspects of air and ocean export operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of international cargo. This role requires deep expertise in global logistics, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily export operations for both air and ocean shipments. Coordinate bookings with airlines, steamship lines, and drayage providers via phone, email, or digital portals
• Select optimal shipment routes and modes of transport based on product requirements, transit times, and security needs.
• Ensure accurate and compliant preparation of all export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, AES filings, airway bills (MAWB/HAWB), and ocean bills of lading.
• Manage tracking and tracing of shipments from origin to destination, ensuring proactive communication with customers on status and exceptions.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of U.S. and international export regulations, including TSA, AES, and Customs compliance requirements.
• Ensure all shipments meet export control requirements (e.g., ECCN classification, ITN numbers, and documentation under Letters of Credit).
• Guarantee adherence to IATA, STA, and KSMS standards for air cargo operations.
• Maintain accurate records of document releases and shipping timelines for audit readiness.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for customer inquiries, service issues, and special handling requests.
• Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and foreign agents to ensure seamless coordination of services, including destination delivery and storage arrangements.
• Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding experience, including both air and ocean exports.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in international logistics operations.
• Proficiency in CargoWise or similar logistics management systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of Incoterms, export declarations, and global compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize workload, meet tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Deep knowledge of airline bookings, cargo consolidation, and routing processes

The salary range will be commensurate with education and experience: $75,000-$85,000 per year.
