Residential Electric Lead Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Residential Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of upgraded electrical systems within residential properties, with a focus on integration with HVAC and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and customer-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential electrical systems in compliance with local, state, and national codes.

  • Wire and connect HVAC units, furnaces, air handlers, water heaters, and other mechanical equipment.

  • Perform electrical upgrades, panel changes, and service repairs.

  • Collaborate with HVAC and plumbing teams to coordinate cross-trade installations.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

  • Ensure work meets or exceeds company and code standards for safety and quality.

  • Communicate clearly with customers about work performed, system operation, and any necessary follow-up.

  • Complete all required documentation and maintain accurate service records.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including vehicles, tools, and supplies.

  • Stay current with NEC code changes, industry best practices, and new technologies.

Requirements: 

  • Valid Electrical Journeyman License (State of [Insert State])

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 4 years of residential electrical experience

  • Familiarity with HVAC electrical requirements a plus

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a variety of residential environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors, etc.)
