Clinical Data Specialist

Position Overview:
This role is ideal for candidates interested in clinical research, healthcare analytics, or medical data management. The Clinical Data Specialist will serve a key role in supporting the collection, organization, and reporting of data related to post-market medical device research studies and clinical outcomes. The role will include completing data quality assurance and compliance reviews, as well as coordinating with the Data Analytics and Clinical Research teams to ensure timely and accurate data reporting. This position may also provide ad hoc support for other Patient Outcomes or Clinical Research projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in organization and standardization of patient data related to medical device usage and outcomes.
- Collates data from multiple vascular surgery practice locations into centralized reports.
- Performs quality assurance checks to identify and correct data inconsistencies or errors in collaboration with clinical leadership.
- Support tracking and documentation of device-related outcomes in alignment with research protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support ongoing data collection efforts.
- Contribute to the preparation of interim reports and presentations as needed.
- Carry out additional project-related tasks, including data entry, documentation review, and file management.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and reporting deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., public health, health sciences, biology, healthcare administration, or related) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with clinical or research data is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology, especially in vascular surgery or medical devices, is helpful.
- Knowledge of HIPAA or data privacy best practices is a bonus.
- Exposure to data visualization or statistical tools (e.g., Tableau, R, Python) is advantageous but not required.
