Accounts Payable Manager

What You’ll Do:

MapLight Therapeutics is actively hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to join our Accounting team. As a key member of our organization, you'll contribute to the continuous buildout of a robust and organized Accounts Payable function. Reporting to our Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for all Accounts Payable responsibilities listed below. Responsibilities:

• Own the organization and processing invoices in Coupa, ensuring accuracy in coding compared to various sources (e.g., budgets, contracts, communication with accounting and FP&A teams)
• Manage contract records and payables documentation in Coupa and NetSuite
• Follow up on invoice approvals for both PO and non-PO invoices
• Maintain source systems for new employees and vendors
• Coordinate payment batches for approval and release in Coupa
• Address internal and external inquiries related to vendor payments
• Support new vendors in onboarding onto Coupa for invoice transmission and/or profile setup
• Review and process employee expenses
• Maintain organized vendor files, ensuring proper documentation
• Regularly review A/P aging to promptly resolve any issues
• Process 1099s, use tax, and other annual payables-related filings
• Provide support for special projects

 

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Coupa is highly valued
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong attention to detail
• Consistently meet tight deadlines
• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Background in account reconciliations
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus
• Preferred experience in the biotech industry
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of accounts payable experience; accounting background is a plus
