
Business Systems Intern (Summer 2025)
SUMMARY:
The Business Systems Intern will be responsible for supporting our Energy Transformation team in various tasks and projects aimed at improving efficiency and productivity. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in operations management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to map current workflows, data sources, and tool usage across the department
- Document system connections and identify gaps, redundancies, or opportunities for integration
- Support the design and development of a centralized access hub for key departmental systems and information
- Build or propose low-code/no-code automations to improve operational efficiency
- Assist in the implementation and rollout of new systems and processes across the department
- Create clear process documentation, user guides, and system diagrams to support onboarding and knowledge transfer
- Collaborate cross-functionally to validate integration needs and ensure solutions meet user requirements

- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g. MIS, Business Information Systems, Data or Computer Science, Product Management & Engineering)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with the following is helpful but not required: Github, Gitbook, JIRA, Salesforce, Smartsheet
