Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Accounts Payable team as an Accounts Payable Associate II. As a Accounts Payable Associate you will be a key member of the accounts payable team primarily responsible for the accuracy and reliability of company payables for multiple subsidiaries.
How you will make an impact:
- Accurately and efficiently process vendor invoices for multiple subsidiaries, including both purchase order-related and standalone invoices
- Investigate and resolve issues related to invoice and purchase order processing
- Assist in IRS 1099 compliance and reporting, including verification of W-9/W-8 documents
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices to purchase orders
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to address and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- Post vendor advances and prepayments in alignment with company policy
- Reconcile vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
- Investigate and resolve supplier disputes and issues
- Maintain and update vendor master files in accordance with established processes and controls
- Generate and save month-end reports for control testing and external audits
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to accounts payable
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of documents requested by internal and external auditors for annual audits and quarterly reviews, in compliance with public company requirements
- Support ad-hoc accounting projects and provide analysis as needed
- Perform other functions and duties as required
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree with biotechnology industry experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, including experience with multiple subsidiaries
- At least 3 years of experience with NetSuite is preferred
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience processing 1099 forms for vendors, either independently or in collaboration with a third-party provider
- Proficiency in OCR processing within any ERP system is essential
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to anticipate work needs and maintain professional interactions with customers
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to effectively present information to management and other stakeholders as needed
The anticipated salary range for this position is $25 - $32 per hour. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
