Your next role as a Miracle Maker
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Finance team as a Senior Revenue Accountant. In this role, you will take ownership of and drive all revenue accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of revenue-related activities. You will play a key role in revenue recognition, financial reporting, and process optimization while collaborating across departments to support business objectives.
How you will make an impact:
- Lead the preparation, review, and booking of revenue entries for all Maravai entities, ensuring timely and accurate month-end reconciliations.
- Oversee revenue recognition compliance, including reviewing contracts, preparing technical accounting memos, and ensuring adherence to ASC 606.
- Prepare and analyze monthly revenue reports, including flux analysis and regional revenue reporting, and support SEC disclosures.
- Design, implement, and enhance accounting processes and controls for new products, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams to ensure alignment on revenue-related activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate audit responses.
- Lead ad-hoc accounting projects and initiatives that support strategic business objectives.
The skills and experience that you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and optimize processes.
- Expertise in ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience reviewing revenue contracts and preparing technical accounting memos.
- Prior experience in a publicly traded company environment, including SEC reporting and audit compliance.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive process improvements.
- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems; experience with Blackline, AuditBoard, and Tableau is strongly preferred.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
