Position Summary:
The Director of Pillar Initiatives will assist the Head of Estate & Tax Planning at the Dalio Family Office, managing budgets, timelines, projects, and facilitating shared goals. As the pillar’s business manager, the director, will be responsible for acting as immediate leverage for the pillar head regarding matters that impact the pillars trajectory and success. The Director of Pillar Projects will need to demonstrate sound logic, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities as they work with the Pillar Head in developing enhancements to the department’s overall goals and managing projects
Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:
- Managing multiple Tax and Estate Planning projects by overseeing and driving project plan, timing, budget, and deliverables; synthesizing project status; and creating and updating project reporting. The nature of these projects will require close communication with internal and external attorneys and accountants.
- Partnering with the Pillar Head to identify and solve for gaps in workflow management, routine and special projects
- Supporting the pillar by managing its operations, which includes helping determine and track priorities, reporting out to management, running pillar processes for planning projects, and managing budgets.
- Holding senior and junior stakeholders accountable to their roles and responsibilities.
- Identifying, resolving, and/or escalating issues, risks, dependencies, and decisions.
- Ensuring projects are run in accordance with traditional project management best practices and methodologies.
- Drive effective communication throughout the organization regarding the activities of the pillar
- Reporting and executing on key performance indicators cross-functionally and to leadership

- A track record of delivering projects on time, within scope
- Experience managing and supporting departmental budgets and timelines
- Experience in risk management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
- Adept at juggling competing and time sensitive priorities in a way that doesn’t sacrifice results
- Proactive and able to self-direct in owning responsibilities and driving those to completion and communicating expectations effectively.
- Experience with routinely interfacing with senior management and delivering a concise synthesis in order to facilitate business decisions.
- Comfortable operating in space with higher degrees of ambiguity and/or complexity with the agility to adjust and adapt to the circumstances at hand
- Ability to manage project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards
- Logical; able to identify and productively surface problems and paths to resolution
- Ability to hold people accountable, maintaining a strong emotional intelligence

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of project management experience, including successful completion of multiple medium/large projects concurrently
- Previous experience with project management software likeMonday.com, or Asana
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Project Management Certification such as Six Sigma Green Belt or Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) highly preferred
Compensation:
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $200,000 -$275,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
