Refurbishment Technician – Level B is responsible to help support the operational effectiveness of the refurbishment and warranty processes. S/he will inspect, assemble and test refurbishment items, maintain tooling and equipment, manage warranty tickets and support special projects as required. This role will work directly with the Refurbishment Engineer and Quality Manager to ensure operational goals and objectives are either met or exceeded.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for refurbishing printers and components to factory standards.
- Assist with analyzing failure modes.
- Support Customer Solutions with parts requests, sourcing, troubleshooting.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on local printers to ensure superlative quality.
- Collect data and give feedback to improve customer experience.
- Prioritize the backlog of parts awaiting analysis and refurbishment to meet forecasted and immediate needs.
- Maintain a level of quality control for refurbished parts and units, per internal processes and standards and that aligns with Markforged manufacturing standards.
- Maintain necessary calibrated tools and fixtures
- Participate in diagnosing and root cause returned parts and units to expose trends and solve customer issues.
- Maintain data to report on findings for both root cause analysis and refurbishment.
- Collaborate with Operations to maintain an inventory level of refurbished parts.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Education:
- Minimum -- High school
- Preferred -- 4-year degree in electronics or other technical field
- Specialized knowledge:
- Additive manufacturing (preferred)
- Electronics/Soldering (preferred)
- Electromechanical skills (preferred)
