Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the development and execution of product marketing strategies that drive market awareness, customer adoption, and revenue growth. Working cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Channel, and Marketing, this role helps define product positioning, messaging, go-to-market plans, and sales enablement materials. Leveraging customer insights, market research, and competitive intelligence, the Product Marketing Manager translates complex additive manufacturing technologies into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with target audiences. This role contributes to new product launches, demand generation initiatives, and content development while helping strengthen Markforged's market position and supporting overall business growth.

 

What will you own?

Go-To-Market

  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategy for new and existing products 
  • Drive go-to-market launches, announcements, and campaigns programs, as needed
  • Align business value to product offerings and connect to market through messaging and positioning
  • Communicate the vision and value of new products to the sales team
  • Work cross functionally to tell the Markforged story and act as a thought leader

Market Research

  • Contribute to market research projects to better understand the market and gather intelligence to help inform product decisions and messaging
  • Analyze competitive landscape as needed
  • Spend time with customer base to bring the “voice of the customer” to all that we do - from content creation to market requirements for new and existing products

Content Creation 

  • Develop and maintain sales tools that facilitate the selling process
  • Create compelling marketing content such as case studies, videos, website copy, and blog posts

Technical Acumen

  • Be a product evangelist internally and with customers
  • Bring technical depth to content strategy

Program Management

  • Achieve alignment and buy in from marketing and sales stakeholders 
  • Build processes to help us scale

 

What you have:

  • 3+ years technical product marketing experience or other directly transferable experience
  • Customer obsession
  • Ability to dig in and translate technical content into compelling messaging
  • Enthusiasm and demonstrated success working with and leading cross-functional teams to get things done
  • Experience working with sales and competitive analysis
  • Equally comfortable and experienced as both a data driven and a creative problem solver
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Bonus if you have experience working in 3D printing ecosystem and/or marketing to manufacturing customers
  • Bonus if you have both hardware and SaaS product marketing experience

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is expected to be between 73,698 USD - 98,265 USD (annually). Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location, certifications, licenses, business needs and the applicant’s skill set.  The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated compensation range listed in this job posting reflects base salary only.
