The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting with overseeing the daily operations, training coordination, and administrative functions of the onsite Security Operations Team. This position provides leadership, guidance, and operational support to security personnel while ensuring compliance with site policies, training requirements, and customer expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist Site Manager and support daily security operations to ensure compliance with site policies, procedures, and customer expectations.
  • Assist with site training programs in conjunction with the and site leadership.
  • Maintain and manage the site master training matrix to ensure all required certifications, onboarding, and recurring training requirements remain current and documented.
  • Conduct coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training for security personnel to improve performance, readiness, and professionalism.
  • Ensure all onboarding and offboarding processes are completed in accordance with vendor and client requirements.
  • Monitor officer performance, appearance, attendance, and compliance with uniform and operational standards.
  • Verify completion and accuracy of shift handover reports and communicate operational concerns to management and customers as required.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing coordination, and operational coverage to maintain site readiness.
  • Support the management of escort requests, visitor coordination, and site access activities.
  • Assist with routine audits of training records, incident reports, operational documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain secure and organized documentation systems for reports, SOPs, certifications, and operational records.
  • Measure training effectiveness and identify opportunities for operational improvement and additional staff development.
  • Record and document operational meetings, monitor task assignments, and ensure completion of assigned projects and timelines.
  • Coordinate and compile monthly operational and training reports for leadership and customer presentation.
  • Assist with incident response, investigations, and emergency situations while ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Audit and track uniform inventory and equipment distribution to ensure compliance with site standards.
  • Promote a positive team environment focused on accountability, professionalism, customer service, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure all security personnel perform duties in accordance with global security standards and site expectations.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must possess a Alabama Security Unarmed license or ability to obtain 
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, business administration, emergency management, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in leadership, instructional design, workforce development, or security operations preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in security operations, corporate security, facilities security, or related environments.
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, training, or administrative coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience managing incident reporting, training compliance, scheduling, and operational documentation.
  • Experience working within corporate, critical infrastructure, healthcare, or data center security environments preferred.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of physical security operations, emergency response procedures, incident management, and access control systems.
  • Knowledge of security compliance requirements, audit processes, and training standards.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems, visitor management systems, alarm monitoring, and reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and security management software.
  • Ability to analyze operational issues, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records and reports.
