Quality Assurance Risk Ops Senior Analyst

As Marqeta’s Quality Assurance Senior Analyst, you will work with our first-class Risk Ops Quality Assurance team to oversee the risk operations of our clients. 

This role can be performed in a hybrid work model (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite) from our Warsaw office. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have

  • Conduct tests and inspections of processes against policies, procedures and  regulatory requirements to evaluate quality performance, ensuring consistency of our BPO in scoring and adoption of the QA framework.
  • Report performance and track areas of improvement on multiple levels, both internally and externally.
  • Perform trend analysis on evaluation data and provide feedback.
  • Develop and establish controls in collaboration with our Compliance/Legal Team and third-party partners.
  • Coordinate with other specialists to continuously improve and evolve the QA framework and scorecards, including the development of new QA functions.
  • Work closely with our internal and external support and compliance teams to ensure all policies are being followed and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, standards, and protocols by overseeing risk operations and compliance processes to align with internal frameworks, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Establish strong relationships across cross functional teams to foster a sense of inclusiveness and ensure alignment. 
  • Clearly articulate challenges and recommendations to all levels of stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • 3+ year experience in an Audit/Quality Assurance role, or similar experience in an oversight/compliance environment.
  • Overall 5+ years of experience in AML/KYC/Sanctions for US and/or European entities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, economics, communications, statistics, finance or related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze trends, uncover opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ability to create a vision and translate it into detailed and prioritized plans, with ongoing action and tracking over various timeframes.
  • Great organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple, complex projects on time.
  • Experience in governance, standards, and protocols related to risk management and compliance, ensuring that processes and operations adhere to established frameworks and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to create a vision and translate it into detailed and prioritized plans, with ongoing action and tracking over various timeframes.
  • Desire to build and implement new processes that improve the experiences of our customers and increase efficiencies of our support operations teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Curiosity, creativity, motivation, and capability of working on your own as well as part of a globally distributed team.
  • Positive outlook and supportive attitude, with a commitment to constructive feedback and coaching.

Nice-To-Haves

  • CAMS, ICA, SCS or similar industry related certifications.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
