Compliance Assurance Analyst

As Marqeta’s  Compliance Assurance Analyst, you will be integral to the safeguarding of both Marqeta and its partners by ensuring rigorous adherence to regulatory standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the integrity and success of our platform while making a meaningful impact across the global financial landscape. At Marqeta, our Compliance Assurance team plays a crucial role in ensuring that Marqeta and its partners not only meet but exceed regulatory standards, making a significant and lasting impact on our industry’s integrity and success. 

This role can be performed in a hybrid work model (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite) from our Warsaw office.  We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have

• Test various regulations, including Reg E, Complaints, UDAP/UDAAP, TCPA, and other consumer regulations
• Analyze trends in testing results to determine the need for additional testing or identify other issues
• Participate in projects related to new products, regulations, or procedures for the Compliance team
• Communicate effectively and foster positive relationships with business team members, bank partners, management, and Marqeta customers
• Work cross-functionally to drive unified messaging and positioning within the organization and with partners

Who You Are

• Min. 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the banking or payments industry, in Consumer Compliance or Risk Management. Prior fintech experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of current and emerging payment systems and banking regulation/supervision within the US and Canada
• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring a high degree of personal accountability, quality, accuracy, integrity, and trust
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-To-Haves

• Experience with Looker Studio or other data visualization tools
• Strong presentation skills
