Enterprise Applications Engineer (Finance, ERP, Procurement)

Join Marqeta as our Enterprise Applications Engineer (Finance, ERP, Procurement) and become a vital part of our financial SaaS applications team. You will be responsible for end-user support, system administration, data management, compliance, and integration management, with a primary focus on optimizing system performance and user enablement. The two primary systems include Sage-Intacct and Airbase. In addition, you’ll help build and oversee integrations to/from these systems including connections to our data warehouse and CRM systems like Salesoforce.

Working closely with our finance and accounting teams, you will identify, design, and implement solutions that enhance our core accounting, expense management, and financial reporting processes. You will also collaborate with various departments and data teams to build and maintain integrations, ensuring our systems meet company policies and compliance requirements.

Your work will have high visibility and make a direct impact, aligning with strategic company-wide initiatives and driving business results.

We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You'll Have

  • Understand the company, business and technical requirements and goals.
  • Perform System Admin duties for Sage Intacct, Airbase and other SaaS Financial apps.
  • Translate requirements into well-architected solutions.
  • Design, build, test and deploy enhancements in an Agile framework.
  • Configure systems to meet company and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain high data integrity using data management principles.
  • Build new and maintain existing integrations with external/internal systems.
  • Perform Security Reviews, Release Updates, System health checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT dept and other engineering teams.
  • Proactively identify innovative solutions to improve end-to-end architecture.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, approach and design documentation.
  • Execute release management processes to achieve high quality deployments.
  • Support user access, roles and permissions.
  • Maintain high sprint velocity goals and estimate work effort.
  • Participate in daily standups and perform stakeholder demos.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of ERP, Finance Apps, User support and system admin experience. 
  • Experience configuring, maintaining and supporting SaaS applications.
  • Experience with finance and accounting processes.
  • Experience with different modules (GL, AR, AP).
  • Experience with reporting for month end, quarter end and fiscal year results.
  • Experience with audit controls and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Experience with complex multi-phase projects.
  • Experience working building and maintaining integrations.
  • Clear communication skills (verbal and written).

Nice-To-Haves

  • Airbase system admin experience.
  • Workato automation experience.
  • ETL (extract, transfer, load) data experience.

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. 

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in CAD,  is: 91,400 - 114,300.
