Data and Model Governance Lead
As Marqeta's Data and Model Governance Lead, you will establish and operationalize enterprise-level model risk management and data governance frameworks that strengthen Marqeta's regulatory compliance and risk posture. You'll join our Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) organization, partnering across Compliance, Risk, Legal, Data & Insights, Product, and Engineering teams. In this role, you'll design model validation frameworks, build risk-based analytics, develop executive reporting on model effectiveness, and serve as the LRC data lead—creating metrics, dashboards, and lightweight automation that drive better program management and regulatory outcomes.

- Build automation through Python scripting or similar methods to eliminate repetitive, manual processes across the LRC function
- Identify data gaps and develop proxy metrics or interim solutions to enable decision-making while long-term infrastructure is developed
- Partner with engineering and product teams to support integration of compliance data needs into Marqeta’s platform and tools (e.g., Salesforce, Looker, Looker Studio, etc.)
