What You Will Do:

This person will have broad responsibility for the global performance, operations, and strategy for the launch of new lines of business across MasterClass. Primarily, this role will be managing our Meta Ads account for these products, but they’ll also be responsible for expanding to additional channels and driving collaboration across teams and other channel leads within MasterClass.

  • Design, launch, and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and TikTok, with a primary focus on supporting new lines of business within MasterClass. In some cases, this person will be building the channel from the ground up.
  • Participate and guide strategic conversations on how to launch new products across paid environments. While this person’s day to day role will be on paid channels, they will also be offering their POV on the landing pages, creative and rollout of these new-to-market products.
  • Lead full-funnel experimentation by developing hypotheses, executing rapid tests, and iterating based on results to identify scalable growth opportunities.
  • Drive creative and message testing, working closely with creative and production teams to ensure fast feedback loops and actionable insights
  • Oversee campaign execution, including setup, daily pacing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and real-time adjustments to maximize performance.
  • Manage and collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement campaigns, including audience targeting, media strategy, bid management, landing page optimization, and conversion rate improvements.
  • Build and maintain robust tracking and measurement systems, addressing signal loss issues and ensuring accurate attribution.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the products, services, and competitors to inform and strengthen performance strategies.
  • Serve as a cross-functional connector, collaborating with Growth, Product Marketing, Creative, Analytics, and Lifecycle teams to share learnings and align on priorities.
  • Proactively identify and communicate new opportunities, strategic recommendations, and testing roadmaps to improve channel performance.
  • Inform the technical roadmap for first-party data improvements by partnering with Growth Product, Data, and MarTech teams to define requirements and deliver ongoing enhancements.
  • Monitor platform updates and algorithm changes, adjusting strategies as needed to maintain optimal performance.
  • Work with Data partners to develop and leverage rigorous measurement strategies to assess the impact and opportunities of acquisition and retargeting campaigns.
  • Document and share campaign learnings to promote knowledge transfer and continuous improvement across teams.

About You:

  • Minimum 7+ years working in Paid Marketing roles, across any channel, with at least 4+ of those years being hands-on experience managing a Meta Ads account optimizing to CPA or ROAS targets 
  • At least 3+ years successfully working in a highly cross-functional role managing and influencing projects from start to finish including extensive experience managing conversion optimized campaigns
  • Expert knowledge across Meta ads with insights into industry, bidding, targeting, creative, and platform best practices and trends
  • Experience building and scaling a Meta Ads account to hit KPI targets, including a strategic roadmap, outlining measurable primary and secondary KPIs and objectives, influencing channel-first creative needs, and daily channel management.
  • Experience working in Search, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn preferred. At the very least, you’ve been able to set up and scale at least two of the above channels.
  • Experience with A/B, Conversion Lift, and Incrementality  testing and comfortable with regression analysis and other advanced analytics techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Substantial experience pulling data and generating reports to generate strategic insights
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with SQL, Looker and Amplitude is a plus
  • Experience with DCO and Creative Automation platforms is a plus
  • T-shaped growth marketing skill set: we’re looking for performance marketing generalists that can pinch-hit in any given domain of marketing, while drawing on the skills and insights from a singular area of deep specialization

The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.

MasterClass’s salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
