Material Bank is seeking a Sr. Director, Platform Monetization to develop, launch, and scale new growth opportunities across the Material Bank platform. This is a highly strategic, hands-on role focused on unlocking growth through platform innovation, merchandising opportunities, new programs, and optimization of existing offerings. You will take promising ideas from concept to execution, evaluating their commercial potential, testing opportunities, and building scalable programs that create measurable value for our business and customers.

The ideal candidate combines the analytical rigor of a strategist with the execution mindset of an operator. You are equally comfortable evaluating new opportunities, developing initiative-specific business cases, analyzing performance data, and collaborating across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to bring new programs to life.

You thrive in ambiguity, challenge conventional thinking, and leverage AI and emerging technologies to accelerate execution. Success in this role means turning innovative ideas into successful business programs, continuously optimizing performance, and establishing a clear path for sustainable growth and long-term operational ownership.

What You'll Do

Partner with Finance and senior leadership to assess pricing opportunities, revenue potential, costs, profitability, and investment requirements.
  • Lead End-to-End Execution: Translate approved growth opportunities into actionable plans, align cross-functional stakeholders, and lead the business execution of assigned initiatives from initial concept and pilot testing through launch, optimization, and operational handoff.
  • Measure Performance: Independently access and analyze data, define success metrics, and evaluate performance for assigned growth initiatives to inform decisions, guide optimization, and recommend next steps. Partner with the Analytics & Insights team as needed, while leveraging established data standards and reporting frameworks.
  • Test and Optimize: Design experiments, launch pilots, evaluate results, and continuously refine programs, offerings, and commercial approaches based on performance, customer feedback, and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Content, Finance, and Operations to define initiative requirements, align on execution plans, and coordinate resources in support of company priorities.
  • Execute Commercial Initiatives: Develop value propositions and selling points for assigned growth initiatives, support early commercial conversations, and partner with Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches, adoption, and measurable business results.
  • Leverage AI and Automation: Apply AI-driven tools and processes to streamline analysis, modeling, reporting, and execution, enabling faster decision-making and more efficient operations.
  • Build for Scale: Establish repeatable processes, performance frameworks, and operational playbooks, partnering with functional leaders to transition successful initiatives to the appropriate business owners while identifying the next growth opportunity.
  • Influence Business Decisions: Present data-driven recommendations, growth opportunities, and strategic tradeoffs to executive stakeholders, supporting decisions on innovation, investment, resource allocation, and business priorities.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience in business and product strategy, growth, business operations, innovation, management consulting, or a related discipline, with demonstrated ownership of complex business initiatives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a bias toward action in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of taking new growth opportunities from concept through launch, optimization, and measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated financial and analytical acumen, with experience developing initiative-specific business cases, evaluating unit economics, and assessing the commercial viability of new programs and growth opportunities.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, with hands-on experience using SQL, Snowflake, or comparable data platforms to independently develop insights, evaluate performance, and inform business decisions.
  • Experience designing and evaluating experiments, developing KPIs, and making data-driven recommendations on investment and prioritization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital platforms, marketplaces, product development, and the commercial drivers of technology-enabled organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity, accelerate execution, and scale business processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous challenges, evaluate complex tradeoffs, and translate insights into actionable strategies.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
