POSITION SUMMARY

Mixologist serves cocktails, wine, beer, and other drinks to residents and guests. Implements classic recipes and creates signature cocktail drinks, ensure recipes are being followed and performs quality checks. The Mixologist ensures their bar runs efficiently and that all residents and guests are satisfied with their orders.  The successful candidate is creative and has the ability to multitask and problem solve.  This position reports to the Beverage Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures the flow of service to residents, guests, family members, and staff receive quality dining service.
  • Completion of workstations and assigned side work.
  • Responds to resident feedback addressing concerns in a timely, professional manner.
  • Maintains timely and professional communication with the Beverage Manager, Director of Restaurants and the Executive Chef and shares all food comments and suggestions with the Executive Chef.
  • Performs liquor inventory and assists in ordering
  • Responsible to manage and maintain the equipment necessary to successfully operate the restaurants at or above Mather service standards.
  • Coordinates and executes theme meals and/or functions and related billing processes and provides accurate and timely information to the Restaurant Manager so that billing for events/functions can occur and resident satisfaction is ensured.
  • Oversees beverage program in conjunction with the Beverage Manager to ensure premium service and quality.
  • Implements, and continuously trains for the Mather Beverage program and the standards that are in place for the program.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

  • 3 years of experience as a bartender or mixologist
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Inventory Management
  • Recipe and Menu creation
  • Knowledgeable in Point of Sale and Inventory Management Systems
  • English language proficiency

Preferred:

  • Supervisor experience
  • Mixology or Bartending Certification

Body Positions/Lifting Requirements : medium work, frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 pounds
