The IT Support Manager at The Mather Tysons is a critical, highly visible leadership role supporting technology across a 24/7 luxury senior living community. This full‑time, salaried, 100% in‑person position is ideal for a hands‑on IT professional who thrives in a service‑oriented, resident‑facing environment and enjoys being the trusted go‑to for technology support—no matter how big or small the request.

Located at The Mather Tysons, an award‑winning leader in wellness and redefining what senior living can be, this role sits at the intersection of hospitality, technology, and community life. The IT Support Manager ensures residents feel confident and supported using technology—from smart apartment and smart building features, AV needs, IPTV, and digital signage, to staying up to date on evolving technology platforms. The role also supports new team member IT setup and partners closely with department leaders to ensure seamless operations across the community.

Working in coordination with Mather HQ Information Technology, the IT Support Manager oversees local IT operations and directly supervises one IT team member, ensuring consistent, high‑quality technology support throughout the building. Given the 24/7 nature of the community, flexibility is essential, with availability needed for weeknights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to ensure uninterrupted technology operations.

This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role within a luxury setting—perfect for someone who values collaboration, responsiveness, and delivering exceptional service in a dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage local IT department operations, including coordinating end-user support, scheduled maintenance, system administration, technology training, and performance evaluation.
  • Support the community IPTV and Digital Signage solution providing end user training and support.
  • Assist Mather HQ IT with the management and administration of the network and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Lead information security awareness and training initiatives to educate workforce members about information security risks.
  • Manage and maintain local vendor relationships.
  • Suggest hardware and software upgrades, changes, and additions, as appropriate, to improve operations, consistency, and budgetary success.
  • Assess need for system reconfigurations based on feedforward from end user requests and make recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with The Mather Tysons management, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Coordinate and/or perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Manage daily moves, adds, and changes of end user technology.
  • Available for after-hours support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

  • BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong PC hardware and software skills

Preferred:

  • Certifications MCSE or MCDST
