The Mather (Tysons, VA)
We are seeking an engaging, safety‑focused Driver to join our luxury senior living community in Tysons. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional resident experience by providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for residents and guests. The ideal candidate brings a strong customer‑service mindset, takes pride in creating positive and meaningful interactions with residents, and understands the importance of patience, professionalism, and care in a senior living environment. A valid CDL with passenger endorsement is required, as this role is responsible for operating Mather vehicles and ensuring every trip is conducted safely, comfortably, and in accordance with all regulations—while consistently demonstrating Nextraordinary service behaviors.

This position is hourly & full-time; weekdays, weekends, and holiday availability required.

Required:

  • Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Valid CDL Motor Coach, Non-business Type C or Type A with Passenger Endorsement drivers’ license with excellent driving record.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Safely and efficiently transport residents in Mather vehicles.
  • Complete required vehicle safety inspections prior to each trip
  • Maintain vehicles, mechanically and aesthetically, according to maintenance schedule and as needed.
  • Maintains a daily check log, service log, and other pertinent records.
  • Works to continually improve scheduling and transportation service to maintain on-time performance within a reasonable margin, weather permitting.

The Mather is a Life Plan Community in Tysons, Virginia, for those 62 and better that defies expectations of what senior living is supposed to be. More than a luxury residence, The Mather is in an enviable walkable, urban neighborhood, close to the Metro and all the DC area has to offer. Opened in March 2024, The Mather includes 293 independent living apartment homes, as well as assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing, along with multiple restaurants, a fitness center, art studio, gardens and more. 

The Mather is located at 7929 Westpark Drive, Tysons.
